1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to Juve and its event matchmaking service, including the Juve website, organizer console, WhatsApp conversations, and related services (together, the “Service”). “Juve”, “we”, or “us” means the operator of the Service. An event organizer may also be responsible for information they provide to us, such as attendee registration details.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, password credentials, organization details, and support messages.
- Event and registration information: event details, attendee name, phone number, email, ticket type, event code, and registration source.
- Conversation information: messages, voice notes that you choose to send, your answers about your role, interests, goals, and who you would like to meet.
- Connection information: match decisions, mutual introductions, preferred contact channels, and follow-up or recap responses.
- Optional professional information: information you choose to provide from LinkedIn or another professional profile. We only request or retain this where the relevant permissions and consent allow us to do so.
- Technical information: device, browser, IP address, log, security, and usage information needed to operate and protect the Service.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide the Service, including to identify your event, conduct the intake conversation, create and improve match recommendations, deliver messages, coordinate mutual introductions, provide organizer reporting, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and maintain security.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand service performance and improve matchmaking. We do not use your private conversation content to advertise to you.
4. Matching and introductions
Juve uses information you provide to suggest potentially useful connections. A recommendation is not an endorsement, background check, guarantee, or statement about another person. We only share contact details or other connection information when the applicable participants have chosen to connect or otherwise asked us to share it.
5. WhatsApp and optional profile connections
Juve uses WhatsApp to communicate with attendees. By starting a conversation, responding to an event invitation, or otherwise opting in, you agree to receive Service-related messages. You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP. Event organizers are responsible for having an appropriate basis to provide attendee contact details to Juve for invitations.
If you connect a professional profile, we receive only the information made available through that connection and your permissions. You can choose not to connect it, and you can ask us to remove the associated information.
6. Sharing information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service: with the event organizer for their event reporting, with service providers that host or process information for us, with another attendee after the required mutual decision, or when required by law, safety, fraud prevention, or a valid legal process. We do not sell personal information.
7. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, meet contractual and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use access controls, encryption where appropriate, logging, and other reasonable safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
- Stop WhatsApp messages by replying STOP.
- Ask us to access, correct, export, or delete information we hold about you, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention needs.
- Disconnect an optional professional profile and withdraw permission for future access.
- Raise a privacy concern with us or with the data protection authority that applies to you.
To make a request, use the support contact provided in the Service or by your event organizer. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. Children and changes
The Service is intended for adults and event participants who are legally able to use it. We do not knowingly collect information from children. We may update this policy from time to time; the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
